Fort Walsh to Wood Mountain - North West Mounted Police Trail

This trail was marked in the 1950s by Everett Baker, the SHFS’ first president, and local community members.

SWIFT CURRENT–BATTLEFORD TRAIL

The Swift Current - Battleford Trail was once an important travel and trade route.

Historic Trail Walks

The Historic Trail Walks are long-form walks that occur every two years along the routes of historic trails.

Friends of the Trail

We gratefully accept donations of any amount for the ongoing maintenance of the Trail. For a donation of $100 or more, your name, community and year of the donation will be engraved on a tag and placed on an original NWMP Trail marker post!
